What is the “Financial four Square,” and how can it help change your business?

Currently in the financial planning space, there are many tools for individuals that want to work with a traditional Financial Advisor. I have had the pleasure of using many different versions of these tools that do a lot of different things. The issue that I have with these different software products is that none of them work well with the business owner. That is why we came up with the Financial Four Square. Business owners needed a place where someone could take an overall look at their insurance and financial strategy. On a very rare occasion does a CPA, banker, insurance agent, and financial advisor all sit down with the client to make sure everything is working towards the same goal. The Financial Four Square allows our team to work together with all the information. Creating a better plan, allows us to find mistakes and losses that the business owner gets to recapture to improve their financial wellbeing. Strategy beats product. When you have the best strategy along with the best products, the client has the best of both worlds.

Financial Four Square

The first square is the Asset square. As a planner, I need to know exactly where we are starting before I can help someone achieve something great in the future. The second square is the protection square. How does a business owner not only protect their assets but also be efficient as possible in the way they pay for this protection. The Third square is what we call our reserves square. This would include everything from life and disability insurance all the way to employee benefits. Our team ensures that your business is solid from top to bottom, taking strategy into consideration. The final square is the exit strategy. Your goal should not be to climb Mt. Everest, but to climb to the top and then come back down!

“This process is not a simple process, and it take a team of people,” say Brent White who is the founder of the Financial Four-square model. “It has taken over 25 years to put together a team of over 100 people that could potentially work on one single case either directly or indirectly.”

Having a tool that allows us to dissect each piece of the puzzle is one of the things that differentiates us from traditional planners. We make sure each piece is working at its own maximum capacity while working with the other pieces. Maximum efficiencies are what we strive to bring our clients. True planning for a business owner.

“Business owners are incredibly intelligent people who are really good at the skill or craft. Having time to be good in the insurance and financial space takes years of studying and practice, and the laws and rules change daily, says White. We surround the business owner with experts in these areas, so that the business owner can focus on what he or she does best. Staying on top of compliance regulations alone is a full-time job.”
